Our Providers

John Redmond, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and serves as the CEO of the Pathways to Wellness Team in Memphis, Tennessee. With a background that includes service in the U.S. Army and diverse experiences across various healthcare settings, John brings a wealth of perspective to his practice.
Specializing in the treatment of adults and adolescents grappling with a range of mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and mood disorders, John employs his deep understanding of psychopharmacology to craft tailored treatment plans for each individual. Embracing a holistic approach to mental health care, he emphasizes not just medication management, but also integrates psychotherapy, lifestyle adjustments, and stress management techniques into his practice.
Focused on supporting individuals navigating post-traumatic stress and depression, John is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care. His unwavering commitment to assisting individuals, families, and veterans is deeply personal, making him a trusted companion on their path to healing. As part of the Pathways to Wellness Team, John ensures that each person receives personalized care, leading the way towards mental wellness and resilience. Cody Cottrell DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Registered Nurse. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Arkansas. Cody earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Harding University in 2017 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2023. He previously served on the Cardiopulmonary Transplant Intensive Care team at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Cody is passionate about building strong relationships and assisting others on their journey to wellness.

Charlene Sparrow, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, dedicated and compassionate, specializing in providing high-quality psychiatric care. She specializes in treating adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD and mood disorders. She has a deep understanding of psychopharmacology and uses this knowledge to develop effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. She strongly believes in a holistic approach to mental health care. She focuses not only on medication management but also on psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and stress management techniques to help patients achieve optimal mental health.
She is also known for her excellent communication skills, empathy, and ability to build strong relationships with patients. She is deeply committed to working alongside her patients to develop individualized treatment plans that meet their unique needs and promote overall wellness. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns. She is also committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements as she learned during her tenure at St. Jude to continue providing the best possible care for her patients. Outside of work, Charlene Sparrow enjoys spending time reading and trips to the beach with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Brigitte Boll APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through the ANCC. She has been serving the Clarksville community since 2013, beginning her career as a registered nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2023.
With experience across multiple nursing fields, Brigitte’s true passion lies in mental health. She believes that a healthy mind is the foundation for a fulfilling life, enabling individuals to reach their full potential and build resilience against life’s challenges. She is dedicated to fostering strong relationships, guiding individuals through their mental health journeys, and providing personalized, compassionate care.
Brigitte specializes in treating patients across the lifespan, taking a holistic approach that considers both individuals and families. She has extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and nonpharmacological treatments, incorporating psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.
Having grown up in a military family, Brigitte is especially attuned to the unique challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their families. She provides expert care for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, sleep disorders, and mood disorders.
Outside of her practice, Brigitte enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in outdoor and creative activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, gardening, crafting, bowling, and more.

Allison Baskett APRN, PMHNP-C is an AANP board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who is passionate about helping others achieve mental wellness and resiliency. She brings a warm and empathetic approach to care, creating a space where patients feel heard and understood. A strong foundation in nursing and specialized training in psychiatry allows her to provide holistic and evidence-based care that addresses the unique needs of each patient. She utilizes medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to treat each patient’s unique set of circumstances.
Allison focuses on anxiety, depression, ADHD, as well as other mood disorders across the lifespan. As a military spouse, she brings an understanding of the unique challenges our military veterans and their families face, and she is passionate about creating an environment where those challenges are addressed and understood.
Outside of work Allison enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports with her two sons, baking desserts and traveling.

Casey Permenter, LCSW, CCM, CPHQ is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently serving as the Clinical Director at Pathways to Wellness. She holds certifications in Case Management (CCM) and Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), in addition to completing an Interprofessional Fellowship in Palliative Care. With a diverse background spanning clinical therapy and health system performance management, Casey seamlessly integrates creativity, empathy, and evidence-based strategies to support clients and lead innovative behavioral health programs. Whether providing individual therapy, facilitating group sessions, or offering clinical supervision to aspiring clinicians, she is committed to fostering environments where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Casey specializes in working with individuals across the lifespan who are navigating challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and grief. As a mother of a child with exceptional needs, she also brings a profound understanding of medical trauma and the complexities of caregiving. Her therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), with patient/family-centered methods tailored to each individual’s unique needs. By fostering a safe and empathetic environment, Casey empowers clients to build resilience, enhance emotional regulation, and achieve meaningful, lasting growth and healing.
Outside of work, Casey enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, watching documentaries, and exploring creative outlets such as carpentry and indoor rock climbing. She also finds fulfillment in mentoring and inspiring students in her role as an adjunct professor.

Heather Fesperman, PMHNP-BC, Executive Director of Clinical Services, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with several years of experience in the lifespan of psychiatry. I have a passion for all patients and strive to develop an individualized plan of care to meet the specific needs of every patient that I service. I specialize in children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. I have a passion for PTSD, the neurodivergent population, and anyone truly needing a listening ear.
I LOVE what I do. I am often asked what lead me to work in mental health. I am a firm believer that a good provider has to relate to a patient. I do my absolute best to make every experience memorable. I strive to ensure my patients feel heard and understood in a calm, judgement-free setting.
Compassion is at the forefront of my being. I believe that every person deserves peace, and I help reestablish that comfort for my patients. I am here to remind you that you are not alone. Come see me, and let’s fight it together!

Christa Dunlop, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, graduated from Northwest Community College in 2011 with her associate’s degree in nursing, Walden University with her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2019 and completed her Master of Science Advanced Practice Nursing degree at Walden University in May of 2021. Christa is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner treating children, adolescents and adults.
Christa worked at Regional One Health for eleven years as a registered nurse in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Burn Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Trauma Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, prior to obtaining her Master’s degree. Her desire to work in a more impactful role in mental health grew while working at “The Med” and Memphis Mental Health Institute. She is driven by “meeting people where they are” to truly help individuals of all ages. Christa has since become an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
Christa strives to give each patient empathy and respect while ensuring that they feel seen and heard. She treats anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, mood disorders and psychotic disorders. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with her family and friends.
